Ever use App Cleaner?

App Cleaner is, as the name suggests, a computer application that removes all the applications from your hard drive. It removes not only the program itself, but the installer for the program, the documentation for the program, the ability to run the program—it cleans it all right off. Once you’ve run App Cleaner, it’s like you never had the program at all.

Nifty.

Death does the same thing to us. Everything we have ever learned how to do while we’re in this body, every ability we worked so hard to have, even every single piece of information we took a lifetime to acquire and use—it completely disappears when we check out of our present life.

Language, motor skills, social skills, basic dexterity, job skills, all our “word processing” ability (reading and writing); it all goes bye-bye when we change bodies. Our apps have been cleaned.

Then we have to learn everything from scratch all over again.
